There's something to be said about the residents of Hawkins, and there's two words that can be used to describe them all: boringly ordinary. With almost every family prescribing to the expected nuclear design, it's hard to believe that anything out of the ordinary could happen in the small Indiana town.

The Blackburns prescribe to the typical ordinary, with married parents and three children, no one would think there was anything out of place, that there was a darkness that haunted them, that forced them into the corners of their rooms.

No one thought that there was something that Kimmy Blackburn was more afraid of than tight spaces, what with her picture perfect life and her picture perfect boyfriend.

No one expected either of them to be harbouring secrets. No one expected picture perfect to be an illusion.

And they certainly didn't expect the secrets that hid underneath Hawkins, Indiana.
