18 year-old Aubrey Smith can't remember a time when she wasn't reading. Ever since childhood, she's longed to visit the fantasy kingdoms that seem so real in her mind's eye. So when her dreams come true and her fictional friends become real, she can't believe it. There's only one problem - the hero is gone.

Prince Caden, 21 year-old hero of the Kingdom of Trabolt, has fallen in love with a girl he's never met. Most characters can't see the reader, but he can. Trapped in a book, he's stuck saving the day over and over again as his story is reread dozens of times. When magical forces send him to visit the real world, it's a dream come true. Except the reader is gone, and reality is not what he expected it to be.
