The Story of the eldest son of Eddard Stark. The first Artos Stark was known as Artos the Implacable. He was said to be the most fearsome warrior of his age. His namesake has proven himself to be every bit as fearsome. Though Artos is many things a Lord is not one of them. He passes the title to his younger brother Robb in favor of battle and adventure. Laelith Baratheon, firstborn child of King Robert, grows up in the shadow of thrones and secrets. Cherished by her father, despised by her mother, she learns early that love in Westeros is both a gift and a weapon. With a bow in her hand and fire in her heart, Laelith forges bonds that defy bloodlines - ties of loyalty, of passion, and of sorrow. From the cold stones of Winterfell to the halls of power in King's Landing, her path winds through friendship, betrayal, and forbidden love, as storms gather around her name. Her tale is one of strength and tenderness, of innocence lost and courage found. A story of a girl who becomes a woman in a world of wolves, lions, and dragons - and of how even the brightest light must endure the darkest of nights. *revised and edited*
