Could Tom really be blamed for turning out as he did? Even when he found out about the wizarding world, his upbringing once again singled him out in the house of snakes. Could Tom really be blamed for taking full advantage of the fact that he was Slytherin's heir? Tom never had someone to love him, no family and certainly no friends, he was treated with suspicion by Dumbledore since he was eleven, shunned by his housemates, and then later had people kissing up to him. Could he really be blamed for becoming cold, ruthless, merciless, and then eventually Voldemort? No, Harry decided. He blamed the selfish, heartless world for making Voldemort, because evil is not born, it's made.
