Till Death Do Us Part

Rei had stood up and walked calmly to the girl. "You think you could get away by dying?" he asked coldly.

Jean was panting, her face flustered, her hair in a mess all over her face and her clothes in disarray. Her chest heaving and her body still struggling against Kean's hold. Rei looked at her and found that even in this situation, this mad girl was still beautiful. If it wasn't for fear that she would bite his tongue off, he would have kissed her then and there.

"Listen to me here," Rei said softly after looking at her for a while. "If you ever try anything like that again, I'll execute every knight in the watchtower for conspiring with a traitor. I'll personally kill your beloved comrades from the Geranium guard, and even your dear brother. I'll cut off their heads myself. If I ever find you dead from your own hands, I'll kill them all. I'm going to make sure that you have no choice but to become mine," he said cruelly.

Right, Kean thought. This girl is crazy, but this man is even crazier.

Her struggling subsided. Instead, her body went rigid and completely still, Kean felt her tensed in his arms, like a highly surged power outlet. Her jaw was so tight and tensed that she was nauseated. Kean watched her veins tighten on her neck. Her breathing became erratic and her eyes ran wildly without destination. She started wringing her hands. Kean recognized the symptoms. At this rate, she might collapse any moment.

"Rei, step back, she's having an episode."
Rei did not listen, instead he kept staring into her face.
"Rei! Move! She's suffocating! We have to calm her down." Kean loosened his hold but Jean was still rigid.

"Rei! Dammit!"

Jean felt that she was at her limit. Her blood boiled into her brain. She didn't know what to do anymore. Overwhelmed by her thoughts, everything became dark.
