تک‌نرخی شدن ارز یک ضرورت است و به ثبات و نظم اقتصادی کمک خواهد کرد. ثبات و نظم اقتصادی در بازار سرمایه و پول در شکوفایی اقتصادی کشور نقش مهمی ایفا می‌کند که نیازمند تلاش دولت و به ویژه نهادهای پولی کشور است.کاهش هزینه‌های معاملاتی یکی از فواید تک‌نرخی شدن ارز است. با تک‌نرخی شدن ارز از فعالیت سوء استفاده کنندگانی که با ارز مبادله‌ای، کالا وارد و در بازار داخلی به قیمت ارز آزاد معامله می‌کنند، جلوگیری می‌شود. یکسان سازی نرخ ارز و به عبارت دقیق‌تر اقتصاد آزاد ارز نیازمند فراهم شدن چند شرط است که اگر به سرعت و با دقت تدارک دیده نشود، احتمال شکست یکسان‌سازی نرخ ارز را افزایش می‌دهد.
