The mystery of Callie's connection to these phenomena may not be a mystery to everyone. Alex Zidane, a recent acquaintance of Callie, seems unsurprised by the mayhem occurring around them. When Callie attends a Halloween festival and is plunged into a maze that resembles the one she traverses in her dreams, Alex must help her survive the chaos emerging from another world.

Along with trying the save the world, Callie must decide whether to trust Alex or the mysterious group that sent him to protect her. If they manage to live through the dangers ahead, they must face the secrets they both keep and the attraction they both fight.
