A rift has been torn in the veil that separates the human world from those that lie beyond, worlds that humans can only visit in their sleep. Supernatural creatures are escaping into the human world and bringing people's worst nightmares to life. Only one person can stop this terrifying onslaught-unfortunately, she doesn't know how.

Callie O'Neill is a college student running from the demons of her past. What she can't escape are the vivid dreams that plague her sleep and keep her awake at night. As the reports of violent attacks by an unknown creature begin to pile up, Callie must confront the supernatural forces she has met before to prevent more deaths. 

The mystery of Callie's connection to these phenomena may not be a mystery to everyone. Alex Zidane, a recent acquaintance of Callie, seems unsurprised by the mayhem occurring around them. When Callie attends a Halloween festival and is plunged into a maze that resembles the one she traverses in her dreams, Alex must help her survive the chaos emerging from another world.

Along with trying the save the world, Callie must decide whether to trust Alex or the mysterious group that sent him to protect her. If they manage to live through the dangers ahead, they must face the secrets they both keep and the attraction they both fight.
