There's a war and the humans are losing.

From a young age, Izel had only had herself to rely on and she became a Vanquisher to make sure she never needed anyone else to protect her because she could protect herself.
Vanquishers kill vampires.
Vampires kill humans.
But... there is one vampire that kills both humans and vampires.
Jaeger.
Jaeger's past had led him to develop a prejudiced view towards both humans and vampires. He distrusts and kills both races.
The humans call him 'The Masked Slayer,' vampires call him 'The Fake Vampire.'
However, Jaeger's past wasn't what he'd believed it to be, and now in order to save humanity, Izel and Jaeger, human and vampire, sworn enemies, are forced to work together.

Will they end up killing each other by the end of it, or will the situation cause an unforeseen emotion to surface between them?

Claudia is just like her mother. Rather than sitting on a throne, this princess would rather be out in the world, living her life. And like her mother, she constantly puts herself in danger. Her life is hers to decide and Claudia's taken up the role of hunting the vampire slayers. Her cousin Alaric has a mission, one that seems easy enough but Claudia knows to be wary of the slayers. She has to find Henley Davenport, a slayer that the king wants dead. He's supposedly still in the vampire city but after receiving information from an informant, Claudia learns that he's in the halfways, a city that encircles the human settlement. Venturing into the halfways was once easy, now it's dangerous. The humans that live there are protesting and causing problems, something that doesn't surprise Claudia given that a slayer is in their town. It doesn't take Claudia long to find Henley, something that she finds suspicious. The further she delves, the more Claudia realizes that something is wrong. When she learns the truth about Henley, Claudia has to do the one thing that she never dreamed of doing - going against her mission directive. **Book 6 in the series. The High Class of Europe. Or should I say the vampires? Everybody knows they exist, yet it is an unspoken rule to stay silent about them. You wouldn't want to risk one of them hearing you talk bad about them. The punishment for something as simple as that is unspeakable. The Vampires have built an empire from the dirt of London and have reigned for thousands of years. They continue to drag terror everywhere they step. Now in every high class, there's the low respected, middle of the pack, and the elites. Obviously, none are as interesting as the Elites of society. The cremé of the crop. Allow me to introduce you to Zara Delcour, Kaspian Auclair, Mackenzie Rousseau, and Nox Toussaint, the most powerful young adults of them all. And the great thing is? They're not going anywhere. But people are always looking for the next best thing or the next biggest deal. Alliances are formed. Threats are made. And it's all one big game of chess. + Due to harsh imagery, descriptive visuals, possible triggering moments, and certain mature themes in this novel, it is rated MATURE. There will be trigger warnings at the start of the chapters where mature scenes are held for those of you who would prefer to skip over them! (I cannot guarantee that you won't miss something crucial to the novel in those scenes.)
