Snowflake was a normal icewing dragonet. Blueish-white scales and a disciplined, icy personality, living within his parent's sixth circle. As normal as normal can get. He had no idea how much his life was about to change.
His goal was to become the highest ranked adult dragon in his family, and his dream was already in reach. He just turned six years old, and through hard work and tiresome training, he had made it to the top of the fifth dragonet circle. If only he could reach the fourth circle by his seventh birthday, he would be happy with being an upper-middle class citizen of the ice kingdom.
However, there are many dragons attempting to thwart his success. The lowerclass icewings are jealous of his advancements, while the higherclass are skeptical.
While dealing with these challenges, Snowflake discovers a strange rock after following a streak of light deep within the tundra. Upon touching the rock, his claws fill with power unlike any other.
A week after the incident, an elderly nightwing meets him at the edge of the icewing border to deliver a special message:
Behold the power of the stars
Beware, for you may bear invisible scars
Your talons of ice
Will no longer be used to slice
But this new power you possess
May leave you in distress
Cease your strife
And become a dragon of life
Else, you will be a dragon of death
Heed my warning till' your final breath

In the light of the Breath of Evil's defeat six months ago, Prickle never expected her parents to get the brilliant idea to ship her off to Jade Mountain Academy, despite the constant assassination-attempts and frequent judging glances that seemed to be the norm at that inter-tribal heck-hole. The named dragon straightened as if to look more presentable, but all that did was emphasize his inferiority. His copy of the general's pose at attention was laughable, and Prion felt as if the crowd was enjoying the entertainment. He felt his family's eyes on him and shrank internally at the humiliation he was bringing them. But as the general continued, Prion's posture deflated. Every word punctuated his growing horror: "Your failure to act has resulted in the destruction of the palace and the deaths of many nobles. You have been charged with treason and are exiled accordingly by Her Majesty, Queen Chalcedony. But all goes wrong when he accidentally reveals his abilities, and his power-hungry family attempts to use Envy for their own bidding. Seeing the destruction of his family before him, once Envy escapes the claws of the NightWings, he tries to get the Gem of Tyranny before the seven tribes of Pyrrhia ultimately destroy him and each other for it. Charr smirked at what he had created, joining in with a rhythmic stamp of his feet. "THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE!" he cried over the call of the crowd. Sclera is a dragon, constantly overshadowed by the golden scales of her brother. With no fire of her own and 'the complexion of a damned icewing' she has lived her life in the skywing hatchery as an outcast, surviving on the scraps and pity of others. However when she's finally given the chance to escape the fiery shadows holding her captive and attend Jade Mountain Academy everything changes. Suddenly she has friends, allies and an irritatingly hot frenemy to help her battle her insecurities and the cruel words of others to find her true strength, locked deep within. Can she rise above her title of 'fireless wonder' even as a perilous journey is forced upon her and the rest of the Copper Winglet to stop the continent from falling into disastrous conflict once again.
