"Teng legends say that the Garden of Eden is at the meeting of the sun and the moon, at the mouth of the Great Red River."

Xing finds the legend of Eden in scorched-edge documents after he makes a fateful mistake and must flee. He doesn't know where to go, who to, just as far away as possible. He becomes a hunted man, his head claimed by members of his own order. Although he has been told since childhood that he has no right to life, he clings to it desperately. He walks in the shadows, yet light crosses his path. He stumbles upon two men who will rewrite the blood-stained letters of his destiny. As they grow closer, the stakes grow heavier, forcing him to make choices that make him wish he had never run away.
