Naturally, everything goes wrong. Her new high school has the most obnoxious boy, Caleb. And he is her new assistant swim coach. Automatically they hate each other.
Ash always told herself boys were pointless. But when she is too slow to the point of moving down swim groups, Ash won't give up on getting faster, no matter what the price is.
Caleb offered to give her help, despite their hate for each other. But by spending more and more time together, and dark secrets told, relationships begin to bloom. But how long will it be until their hatred filled past splits them apart?

He loosens his grip from my waist and I begin to slip under. My faces scrunches up in discomfort, and he grabs a hold of me. He pulls me closer to him, our faces inches apart. "So you can't swim." He says, grinning. "No. I can't." I say. My eyes wander down towards his chest. I just now notice that he isn't wearing a shirt. I refocus my eyes back to his face, my cheeks getting hot.
