It is pretty common knowledge that most creatures cannot exist without a soul. That goes for humans and monsters alike. If their soul is destroyed, they slowly waste away into nothing, disintegrating into mere dust.
Notice I said most creatures.
Some creatures don't have a soul. Their soul was beaten out of them by force, leaving them a with a husk, a shell of their former selves. Yet they go on, stubbornly clinging to any scrap of life they can hang onto.
This is a tale of one such creature, who lacked a soul, who simply refused to lay down and die.

[Author's note] Undertale belongs to toby fox. I only own the story and the two OC characters. Contains swearing, mentions of suicide, mentions of abuse, and blood. If those things upset you, please don't read this. Most of all, this is going to be updated very sparratically. Don't expect chapters to come out a lot. I generally post my progress on my community tab now and again, so check there if you're curious.

This story is inspired by many other works and may bear some resemblance in certain places. However, I will endeavor to make this story it's own. 2 years ago monsters were released from the underground, ending their centuries-long imprisonment at the hands of ancient humans. But, what happens when their determination becomes to much for only one person to hold? (This is a Frisk x Chara fanfic, the are both agender and will be referred to with they/them pronouns. This is using the Flowerfell AU, which is a combination of two different AUs; Flowertale: which is when every time Frisk dies, a golden flower blooms somewhere on their body, and Underfell: which is that all the monsters are more set on killing Frisk instead of mercy, and it's much harder to survive, and Flowey is actually kind and helps Frisk. The Undertale Genocide Route is happening, but a new card has joined the deck: Finn, a quiet kid with a love for stuffed animals who falls into the Underground soon after Frisk. At first, it doesn't seem like there's much Finn can do, until they discover their superpower: the ability to transform huge piles of white dust back into the monsters they used to be. It's up to Finn to stop the murders once and for all and free both Frisk and Chara from the control of the player - but will they succeed? Or will they fall prey to the same fate themself... Cleansing of my soul, or finding the Crystal Of Hikari. The Crystal was only found in Dusttale, but it was a thing of legend. So, ultimately, Storyshift Chara came in and cleansed my soul. But, with the relief everyone felt that Chara was no longer on my soul, they didn't expect the consequence... You see, cleansing the soul was efficient, but came with risks. And the risk had come with the cleansing of my soul. You will see what that is in this book.Completa
