a glimpse of the story:

4 kids stood in front of a gate, where no adults could see them.
EMMA. RAY. NORMAN. Y/N. --------------------

"What is this?" Emma said clearly confused, staring at the dark brick image that laid itself in front of her. "It's a gate, it connects the inside and outside." Norman answers, curious too about the gate that locked them there. "Outside? We've never been outside..." Emma said showing some sadness in her voice, but soon cheering up. "That's because we've been here ever since we were born." Y/N just stared sternly at the inside of the gate, wondering how the outside world could be so dangerous knowing little parts to the secret. "Mom always tells us 'Never go near the gate or fence in the back of the forest because its dangerous.' doesn't she?" Emma stated what their mom figure, or their caretaker always says. Ray didn't look pleased and spoke, "That's obviously a lie." "Really?" Emma and Y/N both looked at Ray wondering what he is talking about. "Hey, Y/N! What do you want to do if you go outside?" Emma asked the girl between ray and her. "Hm... (place what you want to do or put 'I don't know')" the little girl said unsure. "What about you, Emma?" "I want to ride a giraffe!" She answered really excitedly. Ray looked at her like she was crazy but soon turned his back to lean on one of the poles of the gate. "Good Luck." Ray stated plainly. "I WONDER WHAT THIS GATE IS PROTECTING US FROM"
