Evil Ex-or Corex-has created a problem in Season 8. A respawn glitch-or something they've dubbed the Child's Curse. Each time a hermit dies or server hops back into Hermitcraft, they're placed between the ages of 4-8. This creates some trust problems between hermits, amplifies pain from Last Life, and takes quite the toll mentally on Xisuma as once again he has to clean up his brother's messes.
Of course, there's always plus sides. Like some of the hermits having tons of fun playing as kids! And lots more chaos!
At the end of the day though, it's still a problem, and some people don't know how to handle problems.

When trying to repair a mysteriously obsidian-clogged conduit, Impulse suddenly sees what appears to be a shark. Confused, he swims closer to get a better look... oh no. That's not a shark. As the creature tightens its hold on the server, bringing more and more of the Hermits under its control, and Tango turns up scared and with a broken arm, the message starts to become apparent: Trust no one. Not even your friends. Especially not your friends. After all, that leaves you Playing Open-Handed. This book is a sequel to another of my stories, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, but you don't necessarily need to read that to understand most of what happens. Enjoy! --- Story by me Inspiration and characters from Hermitcraft Witty comments (but actually not the lore this time) with help from ausforyou (Okay, this time I'm gonna put a monologue from Henry V because why the hell not, nobody reads this far into the description anyway: Thus says my king to Harry of England: Though we seemed dead, we did but sleep. We could have rebuked you at Harfleur, but that we thought it not good to bruise an injury till it were full ripe. Therefore, consider of your ransom, which must proportion the losses we have borne, the subjects we have lost and the disgrace we have digested, which in weight to re-assess, England's pettiness would bow under. Indeed, your own person, kneeling at our feet, is but a weak and worthless satisfaction of our losses. To this, add defiance: you hath betrayed your followers, whose condemnation is pronounced. So much my king and master bids tell you, so much my office.)

"The Dungeon is dangerous. Ever since the Ravagers took over, there's no real shelter to hide from them. The best you can do is stay in the Keep, try and live out a normal life, and pray that they'll never find you. "But what if I told you there was a way to stop them?" - An AU where Decked Out is an actual universe and not a game, where people live in constant fear of the Ravagers that have taken over the once-familiar Dungeon that has changed drastically. - Hello, everyone! Before you start, there are a few things you need to know about this story: - This book will contain some cursing - All shippings here are kept platonic for the sake of respecting CC's boundaries - I couldn't focus on every Hermit for this AU; only 7 or 8 are featured - While this is a Decked Out AU, it focuses more on what the map offered than the actual events Etho encountered during his canon runs. You'll see a few references here and there, but for the most part, this is an original story taking place in the Decked Out-verse. DISCLAIMER: None of my content is meant to offend anyone! I write about the Hermits' Minecraft personas and not their IRL selves. If any of my writing makes the people I'm writing about uncomfy, I have no problem in taking it down. With all this said, enjoy the story!
