When life becomes too heavy, too hard, the only solution seems to escape from what hurts us.
That's what Skyler does when, on their birthday, they decide to come out as non-binary. Their family doesn't accept them and for this reason they are thrown out of the house.
On the other side of the island of Ireland, Edward is doing the same. When he discovers that his entire life is the result of a lie, he runs away and decides to leave his city, with the intention of finding out more about his real family.
Apparently, they are two teenagers who have only one adverse fate in common. But something mysterious binds them with an invisible chain, something that humans don't know ...

Something Like Spring
The fall had been a big mood ring for Oskar. Breaking the school rules he gets almost expelled from school, but it brings him and Aaron together for the first time in 2 years. Oskar kisses 2 times Aaron, but he doesn't seem to reciprocate his feelings, especially that he's hetero and has a girlfriend. Stepping into Adulthood
The story is about a group of friends. They're about to graduate from high school and step into their respective college life. On one hand they have the immense pressure of the school final exam and on the other hand they're filled with nostalgia. They're about to close one chapter of their life and step into another one. The story starts on the last day at school. Coming to school together for the last time, sitting together for the last time, having lunch together for the last time, bunking classes together for the last time, getting scolded / punished together for the last time. All of these combined create an environment where the students are completely immersed into enjoying their final day at school. They'll be leaving the school soon. They'll become the past tense while a new batch takes their place and a new future waits for the present one to become past. So, everyone's busy making one last memory. Some eager to bid farewell to their friends, some taking one last shot to propose to their crushes or some maybe just want to get it over with. Overall everyone's busy trying to make their ending(of school life) a happy ending. But the pursuit of a happy ending isn't always happy. Complications are very real things. Well, the same thing happened to Ellie. Just, she doesn't live in a tower or has freakishly long hair. She always looked out of the window to catch a small glimpse of the outside world. She never saw much except for the tips of grass in front of her and the grey, almost black, road that lay in between two houses. Oh! And her mother and father are not nice like in the movie. Waking up to a new reality
Eric was the younger of twelve year old twins, just approaching their thirteenth birthday. Although only six minutes younger than Lauren, she was clearly the alpha character when it came to sibling rivalry; she had an effervescent outgoing personality and exuded confidence in everything that she did. Eric, on the other hand, was introverted and largely lived his life in under the shadow of his sister. That was until Eric was diagnosed with a life threatening condition. Admitted to hospital for emergency life-changing surgery. Waking up a different person there was a new-found confidence and optimism that results in a metamorphosis into a life that is far from the shadows. Born out of Covid-19 lockdown, this was conceived as a light-hearted short story to counteract the doom and gloom that was resulting from the pandemic. It grew longer than expected, as I got to know Erin. The story might still be a bit rough round the edges, but I wanted to release it in time for summer vacation reading. There is no violence or hatred, just kindness and acceptance. For those that discount this as unrealistic of the real world, I counter two arguments: 1) It is a complete work of fiction. 2) My son went to Lycee (Senior secondary school) in rural France, where attitudes are generally very conservative. Despite this, there was a girl his his year, who believed she should have been a boy. HE was accepted for who he was, without prejudice. Hopefully it offers a little light reading with a happy ending. Not that the story is set in Scotland and the spelling reflects British convention, perhaps with some Scottish dialect thrown in.Concluída
