"I could feel the cold surrounding me, a chill crawling up my spine. I could feel it in my bones, like a frozen breath flowing through my body. It was the dead of winter and the thin material of my jacket did nothing to ward off the arctic winds gusting through the night. It was dark, my eyes unable to discern anything in the inky blackness. A feeling of unease clawed at me, the hairs at the back of my neck raising. Someone or something was watching me.

My neck snapped to the side on instinct, and that's when I saw it. Two glowing orbs sat up high, glaring directly at me. Eyes, they were eyes, glowing green eyes. The eyes moved, coming closer, coming into the light of the moon. A figure emerged, the body lean and dangerous, razor sharp claws protruded from silken black paws, it's back raised as if ready to pounce . It was a cat, but as my luck would have it, a black cat."

Katerina Levou lived alone, in desolation and silence. Accidents follow her everywhere, along with death and misery. Never staying in one place long enough to do damage, she remained friendless and isolated.

Abruptly, everything changes when a black cat crosses her path. The cat seemed immune to all her accidents and anguish, leaving her to believe she might have a lifelong companion in the making, but there is something dangerous, something sinister about this particular cat. There's something strange about the way it watches her with those eerie, almost human eyes, something bizarre about his mannerisms and nature, something completely abnormal about the destruction that follows him.

Nathaniel Everly was a dangerous spell caster, black magic pumping through his veins, a darkness deep inside his heart. He cast spells to cause destruction, to destroy his enemies, to exact his revenge, until an ancient curse backfires and he finds himself trapped in another body.

"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.

She can't forgive and she won't forget. Kylie cooperates with his demands while she searches for a way to free the remaining survivors and herself. Success teaches her just how complicated mate bonds can be and gives her the chance to choose her own fate. "Screw the mate bond. If I went for his throat while he was driving in human form, I might be able to kill him right now, and if I didn't succeed, the resulting accident might. I leapt for the front seat, powerful jaw ready to rip out his throat as he had ripped out my family's to take my revenge. Without even taking his left hand off the wheel, he blocked me by getting his right forearm between my jaws. I bit down as hard as I could, wishing to break his bones and sever the limb. Worse, I felt the tingles of our first contact where violence had connected us. The iron of his blood mingled with the other scents around me." The man swears on his life he had seen Satan himself inside the she-wolf, he told the town that she was under the alpha's power doing exactly what he has asked of her. The man told the horror of what she would do with men and women who would cross her alpha, and he described this she-wolf as a gorgeous woman, her beauty was so alluring yet the coldness and hate in her eyes rendered you from getting near her. She had to be a Siren crossed breed, the man said. An evil temptress on land, the only horror that walked this earth. He warned the town. [COMPLETED] I was cursed at such a young age, abandoned by my own wolf and the Moon Goddess for something that wasn't in my control. I don't even think having a mate is in the cards for me... ✨🌘✨ I jumped when the final horn sounded, circling the garden before everyone became silent. They all returned to their seats, my father rising from his chair as I stood from my seat along with the other pups. I struggled to breath as we took our position, standing in the centre away from everyone else. My father offered me a reassuring glance though it did nothing to ease my anxiety, all I had to do now was wait. My eyes widened when the moons blue light shined down on me, illuminating my skin as I stared up at the sky in awe. "We thank the moon goddess for the power of her light..." I dropped my gaze back down, my fathers words surrounding us, "...Shall it bathe you and grant you strength, agility, speed like the wolf..." The pups around me began to moan in pain, capturing my attention as I furrowed my brows. Their features were all contorted by an invisible pain that inflicted them but I felt absolutely nothing. My heart raced when their groans of pain became screams but I- I suddenly drop to the ground, a painful throbbing in my head forcing me to the ground. I grip the sides of my head, screaming. I don't know how to explain it but it felt as though my brain was tearing in two, like my head was cracking open. When the pain stopped, I found myself surrounded by wolves, the shifted pups. Looking down at myself, I only see my body, no paws and no fur. I hadn't shifted... ✨🌕✨ Book 2* 'The Wolven King' is the first book and must be read in order to understand this one. ⚠️ WARNING!! This book is mature and should only be read if you are 18+. There are depictions of violence, mature language, sexual behaviour and sexual abuse.
