Amalie Myles is an 18 year old girl who has not had the sweetest of childhoods. She has a toxic relationship with both her mother and father. Amalie's father abandoned her with her alcoholic, mentally unstable mother when she was at the tender age of 9 and her mother – well her mother was just being herself – and that wasn't exactly grand. After her mother finds a new boyfriend Amalie is sent to live with her father who she hasn't seen since she was twelve. She is not to happy with the move but nonetheless travels half way across the country to settle into her new home. Knox Alridge is the 37 year old Alpha of the Aleron Pack, and one of the most respected alphas in the continent. His life is the exact opposite of Amalie's. Knox has a loving wife and two beautiful children. His pack is content with life and everyone around him seems to have a constant smile on their face. Much like most Alpha's who are unable to find their true mates, Knox took life into his own hands and decided who he wanted to love after coming to the conclusion that he and his mate just weren't meant to be - but fate may have other plans.
