George The Steam Roller and Trevor The Traction Engine are Steam Road Vehicles who have lived and worked on the Island of Sodor for a very long time.
Trevor is a General Purpose Engine built by Foster of Lincoln on the mainland. Before being rescued from the scrapyard by Edward, Trevor worked on another part of the island doing various duties such as threshing and wood sawing. He now happily resides at the Vicarage Orchard near Wellsworth station on Edward's Branch Line. Trevor is very kind and helpful and also a great friend to all the engines on the Island.
George is a Road Roller built by Aveling & Porter of Rochester on the mainland. George originally worked in London, moved Midlands on the mainland then finally being transferred to Sodor. Unlike Trevor, George was never put in a scrapyard and the only time he hasn't been in steam for a long period was during overhauls (the last one being completed in 2016). Ever since his first day on the Island of Sodor, George has earned himself a bad reputation especially amongst the Steam Locomotives. Sir Handel, Skarloey, Rheneas, Percy, Thomas, Duck and Gordon would happily tell you how much trouble George can be.
Nobody knew what exactly had caused George's bad attitude, in the first place but the story behind it is understandable and interesting. After keeping it to himself for a very long time, George opens up to Trevor about what he had seen on the mainland and they both have a special treat on the mainland.
