She was supposed to be a myth. A less threatening monster parents could tell their children about at night; a glimmer of hope that not all the creatures of the undercity are scary.
Yelena, known as the Siren of Zaun, is anything but a simple story, though, and a beast in her own right. Believed to be descended from the Marai, an aquatic Vastaya tribe, the toxic waters of Zaun have long robbed her of the magic that has once pulsed through her veins and replaced it with something far more dangerous.
Though she has always been careful not to come into close contact with landwalkers, she is one day captured by Singed, who claims to be fascinated by her rare, magical mutations.
Hope would seem a distant memory now, were it not for a man with a glowing eye who keeps visiting her captor's lab, and a small girl with blue hair who finds comfort in her company.
As Yelena grows closer to the mysterious man, Piltover and Zaun are overrun by an anti-magic terrorist group who swore to erase any trace of the arcane from the city, with no regard to the destruction they cause in the process. A fight is inevitable, but with a thin line between ally and enemy, who do you trust?
