Dear future reader,
I'm here to warn you, no, beg a request of you - not out of the kindness of my heart, but more out of a sense of self preservation.
When you grow up, don't spread stories of fairies and monsters under the bed to your children, of succubi and vampires to your friends, of the boogeyman, of wizards, of sorcerers and goblins and human-sized spiders and dragons and all the other drivel us humans make up.
And I'll tell you why - because we're the ones that make them real. It's true that belief gives power. We literally will these creatures into creation.
So please, S.O.S! I have enough tottery wizards, clingy vampires and feuding fallen angels to last me a lifetime.
Thanking you greatly,
Maude
