Athena Akkineni, is not the typical rich girl. The daughter of the chief of police and the chief of the biggest hospital in Los Angeles, she seems like the product of two amazing success stories. To everyone else, however, she was the biggest pushover of them all.

Tyra Liu suffers from a serious addiction. Possessing bodies may seem strange, but Tyra considers it a natural part of her daily "life." The heir to a major criminal organization can't be taken over by anyone except for the Boss's daughter, dead or alive. Her father ordered her to learn the ropes from her uncle, who was the leader of the Black Dragons, a gang based in LA. When her uncle and the rest of the gang (minus her trusty bodyguard) are imprisoned by a mole, her own father doesn't even lift a finger to help them out.
She resorts to using Athena to look into her mother's police reports and determine who was truly behind the incident.

Athena begins to wake up in strange places and find herself in even stranger predicaments.
