While walking her dog, Nova finds a strange button key. At first, she thinks nothing of it. After all, she is a fan of Coraline. She decides to take it home with her. But that was her first mistake.
At night, she falls into a deep slumber. However, she wakes up in a completely different place. Nova must find a way to make it back home. But it won't be easy with the enemies she encounters.
How will her story end when death lurks around every corner and time doesn't seem to end? Or maybe... this is all just a dream? A hallucination?

It also helps the reader to really see into the minds of Arizona and Nova as they age, and the effect different life events have on them.
