From then on stereotypes grow from what the media portrays it to be. What if you learned the heart behind all the stories behind the news, that not everything had fallen apart and there were something behind all of the so called devastation that revealed something completely different that what the news portrays. Kharissa is Irish. She got put in the foster home(same one as Nadine and Lori) because her father and 'stepmother' were on drugs and her father did things to her that she did not like and made her do things she did not like her 'stepmother' did nothing to stop it. One they neighbors heard yelling coming from the house next to them and called the cope. They came and seen how Kharissa was living and they took her to the faster home. Nadine is Australia. Her mother and 'stepdad' is alcoholic. Her living at home was not the best thing for her things just got worse by the day it got to the point that she would run away from home. One day they got into a big fight that made the neighbors called the copes when they came they fought the cops stuff like that and they took Nadine to the faster home were she will be safe. Lori is British her parents banded her when she was a baby so she pretty much spent her hole life in the faster home. She has been to house to the house and she have been through the worst. It got to the point that they all gave up looking for the right home until one day. This story is for my little brother. He was the best man I ever knew, and he died too young. No, he didn't leave this life the way I tell it in this story (it is, after all, a work of fiction), but he might have had things played out a little differently than they did. Childhood sexual abuse is alive and well in America and the larger world as well. Rodney and I lived it, and that basic fact served as the seed that made this story possible. Much of what you are about to read is true. Just as much is pure fiction. You'll get that (in spades) as the book progresses. The idea of another, better life waiting "out there" somewhere is a constant of most religions, but this is not a book about any religion or, really, the afterlife. Her parents divorced when she was 6 and she went to live with her mom. One month in the summer she would go to her dad's house. She was so much like her dad she felt she didn't belong with her mom. So when she turned 14 her dad took full custody of her. Danielle is just your average 18 year old senior at Lamar High. She lives with her dad full time and about to graduate from high school. It’s funny how little things that happen in life can change everything about a person. How it changes their attitude, appearance, status in society, personality, and much more. I was your typical teenager, I hung out with all kinds of people, I loved making new friends, I didn't care about appearances or which group you were from. Then I started high school and everyone started changing, the cliques got worse and some of my friends had become too good for the rest of us. Life went on though no matter what there was a group of us that refused to let the politics of high school change us, but no matter what slowly each one of us fell into it all whether we realized it or not. Our group went from tons of people to a mere few. All that was left was those who didn't play in any sports, wasn't a genius, wasn't asked to join the more popular crowd, and who had no school spirit. You really found out who your true friends were through the transition of grade school to high school. I still got along with everyone although I only would hang out with my small group. Even we had let the politics of high school change us whether we realized it or not. We each had changed our outlook on life and our attitudes a little here and there but that could have just been considered as us growing up as well. I like to think that we were shaped by the harshness high school brought with it. Our group went through major changes our senior year not that we had expected it to happen or even wanted it to happen but it did changing our lives forever. It all started when two new guys were introduced to our school taking all of us for one hell of a ride.Complete
