Initial Soulmate AU

When Uther catches sight of a letter being passed to his son from his manservant, it consumes his mind until he decides to do the only logical thing: break into his sons room and try to find it. What he didn't expect was the letter to be a love letter, one of many written from his sons soulmate M.'E'.A: Merlin Ambrose.

In a fit of rage (and disgust) Uther throws Merlin into the dungeons to be executed in the morning. Arthur brakes him out and they both flee into the night.
