Once upon a time, there was a young lonely detective. Orphaned as a child and a general loner, he grew up in wammys house orphanage for gifted children. Years later, he returns to his childhood orphanage and as he's exploring the place he grew up, he finds a forgotten secret deep in the woods behind the orphanage.

L Lawliet, worlds greatest detective and possibly the smartest person alive... can't talk. Well, he can, but only to those he's deeply connected with. Partially mute, he hides behind his screen and solves crimes anonymously. Speaking to taskforces with text to speech, and no face shown. Until he's pushed into a corner with a particularly tricky case, and ends up having to make his first face to face interaction. (y/n) shows up to the hotel room of the worlds greatest detective, thinking they'd see a well polished, wise old man. Instead they're met with a tired, young and rather huggable looking guy with eyebags holding a torn notebook page saying "I am L, and I can't talk" -- GNC READER. You receive some bad news which results in you getting a computer with a virtual reality system leading to some new friends and romance. This is a slow moving fanfiction with our favourite Surgeon of Death. When I mean slow moving I mean they do not meet until chapter 5. There is also gonna be some darker themes along the line. Character death, original character death, torture, and probably some other stuff but I don't want to spoil. First two chapters are short but then they get longer. I'm actually planning on finishing this. I have a plot and everything. There will be about 56 chapters.
