He had no regrets about how it ended. He would do it again if he had to. He'd solved the problem. Perhaps, in another life, if there was any to be had after this, he would be blessed with a stable course of existence. He was loading the gun as he thought this through. What reasoning had the Universe to grant him that? All he wanted was peace. And it'd taken a war to get it. But it was over now, and he could only hope he could apologize to everyone sometime in his immortal eternity, be it in heaven or hell or wherever the cosmos sent the boy who destroyed the world.

It was a battle long fought. No one was winning, but no one was willing to stand back either. We were being hunted, hunted because we cried. Or smiled. Or laughed. Hunted because we couldn't hide everything that so desperately wanted to get out. Our emotions. They called us Voids. They wanted us dead. They wanted the world to be a blank canvas of cold stares and quiet voices. And Echo was the main target. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone saw me as a mistake. At least other Void's chose to hide. I had no option. Because eventually, there are to many tears and the damn breaks. Eventually, the weight of the world crushes me and I cry. And I can't hold back.
