A shadow passes between two trees as you hear scurrying across the leaves. A wind blows through a curtain of swaying ivy. Flowers fall as a maiden kisses her lover's cheek, only to disappear in the light of dawn. 
Have we really listened to the trees when they rustle in the wind? Or hear the gossip of swallows as they rest in their nests? The woods are dark with secrets, we just haven't really listened to them yet. 
This is a collection of short stories inspired by both human nature and the nature of the Earth in which we live. There is a story behind every crushed bark, gnawed bone, raven's quill, giant's skull, and fallen wreath.
If you like Fantastical Beasts, Grimm's Fairytales, or the Book of Khaidan, this may be for you.

Lily is a sickly 6-year old child, knowing little of the outdoors. She has been sick for most of her short lifetime. One day when her parents have to leave for a very long business trip amidst the pandemic, her grandmother comes to stay, offering her stories to feed her imagination, and calm her anxiety. As they recount the stories, they encounter adventures of different measures and forms. However, the stories can only last for so long, before reality strikes....(what happens? We shall find out).

I am writing mainly for leisure but am seeking to hone my craft with the hopes that my short stories may be published into a book someday. So I appreciate all feedback and comments! :D Will continue to edit the images --- currently working on some illustrations for these -- and if you have any ideas you'd love to suggest pls do share!! &lt;3

When I turn the corner I see a boy about 20 and am hit with an overpowering smell something like fresh cut wood and autumn leaves. It is amazing. I see the guy turn towards me and duck behind the house I am standing by before he sees me. Nope! Not him! Not happening! I hear footsteps coming towards me and run. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!" "The one you want isn't mate. He isn't yours. He isn't interested... I want mate!" "No." I block her out and climb down the tree.

Ted tells Audrey and decided to go on an adventure to find that forest, but they will not expect that having left the city and arrived at a mysterious rock wall, first, the mayor would notice and that the two friends would befriend a little girl named Lily, who reveals to them that she is a Wolfwalker and that her parents, leaving their sleeping human bodies, disappeared as wolves. So with the help of Ted and Audrey, they will try to solve that mystery and bring back the Wolfwalker guardians with their beloved daughter.
