2 months have passed since the battle at blight manor but life was still just as hectic. From Luz juggling being in the human world and boiling isles, Eda attempting to come to terms with the owl beast and her family past and king learning the truth of his origin things were never simple within the owl hose. This on top of the blight parents being desperate to win over Belos' favour, a feat made no easier by the obnoxious golden guard, by attempting to get the key to the human world. And on top of all of this Luz and Amity still haven't been able to just start dating! In other words life is a mess and difficult but that hasn't stopped them before. How will Luz and her friends keep the key from falling into Belos's hands while still staying alive and sane? Read and see in the sequel to time enough for love... 'Love is never easy'

Striking a deal with the devil probably wasn't smart... When Hexside High School's newest transfer student, Luz Noceda, runs into trouble on her first day at a new school, she does the best thing she can think of; Make a bet. All Luz has to do is beat Amity Blight's score on the semester exams. Amity just happens to be the top student. And exams are in a week. It'll be a breeze.. hopefully, because Luz's admittance to Hexside is riding on this bet. But, there's always a little good in the bad, and maybe striking a deal with the devil was a good idea..
