War caused to destruction and fall out of what used to be America, but when all was lost a leader took a stance and built was is now called Imperium. The country divided into four Capitols had not only classified rank, but also skill sets.
Adair Bells, a Capitol 4 Darling, is forced between a war that had been set in stone long ago by two rebellious groups. Once a year Imperium claims 20 lives of volunteering people around what used to be U.S.A. to compete in the Selection Games. Against her will Adair volunteers for her family honor and comes face to face with the past. Questions that were buried long ago come popping up and with her band of new found friends and a new lover, she will find her answers.
