Among those people were Dr. Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler. The park trial failed resulting in death and the shut down of Jurassic Park. In 2015, Simon Masrani and his company Masrani Global had shown their interpretation of John Hammond's dream with Jurassic World amusement park operating in full swing. However, the park went into full chaos when a hybrid called the Indominus Rex escaped and wreaked havoc all over until it was stopped by heroes Keira Grant and Owen Grady with the help of friends and trusty (somewhat) velociraptors. Jurassic World was in shambles and was turned into a sanctuary, redesigned to protect the dinosaurs. After hitting a few speed bumps, Isla Nublar became a safe haven.
