Love. War. Lies. Nothing stays buried. Emersyn escaped once. But freedom comes with scars, and the past has a way of bleeding through the cracks. As secrets unravel and loyalties fracture, she's forced to decide who she can trust in a world built on betrayal. And Harry Styles, the only person who felt like safety, might be the one who costs her everything. When it comes down to him or her, survival or sacrifice, she knows one thing: She's not making the wrong choice this time. * "Then help me understand." The room tilts. There's an inch between us that feels like a cliff edge, almost like one wrong step will send us both over. "I hate you," I whisper, the words tasting like blood and truth. His jaw tightens, and his eyes drag over my face like he's memorizing every line, every crack I swore I'd never let him see. The silence stretches thin; my pulse is hammering so loud it drowns out the world. "Good," he mutters finally, voice rough. **** Started: 1/14/2025 Ended: TBD **** (Cover credit @antiheroics16)
