Elisa Chen is your average thirteen-year-old girl. Until she receives a mysterious letter from Malaysia telling her that she has been accepted into a prestigious boarding school for 'gifted children'. Little did she know that her life as she knew it would disappear forever, and dark secrets that had been looming in the shadows would soon come to light.
Set in an alternate reality 21st century Singapore and Malaysia, this series toes the line between the magical and the mundane. The fantasy of bomohs and shamans, witches and spells are juxtaposed with biting social and cultural commentary about race, class, gender and sex.
