Everything was fine. Everything was perfect. Steven had created peace across the galaxy, and the gem war was over. What could go wrong for him?

Well, everything did. A once abandoned gem named Spinel came crashing into the Earth with one goal; to kill Steven. 

He had no idea she even existed until- hey, wait a sec, is this the same description as My Diamond, Steven?

You guessed right! This will be a fanfic for an alternate version of that story! 

So, when Steven's gem half reforms after being seperated, instead of knowing what diamond he is, what the diamonds are, and anything a diamond or any regular gem SHOULD know, he comes out imperfect.

He knows he's a diamond, he knows he belongs to Steven, but he doesn't know who or where he is or from.
