Gekai, the world where Danmachi took place...it's not the first time that world itself existed. It was once the world where Warhammer Fantasy occurred.

(I know the world was blown up by Archaeon but this is my fanfic!)

The Old Ones did survive the death of the planet after fleeing from Chaos. (For the second time after the Stellar Gates. Damn cowards...)

They managed to survive and began salvaging their failure by taking whatever energies they could get their hands on before reforming the world into the one where Danmachi would take place. They even created the dungeon to contain the Chaos energies that lingered during the rebuilding to prevent another such apocalypse. 

(Yes, in this fanfic, the dungeon was created by the Old Ones)

Their endeavors exhausted themselves and they fell into a deep slumber within the void of space. Never to be seen or heard from again.

A long time later, the gods of Danmachi were born and inherited the world that the Old Ones rebuilt. The dungeon was found but the power it was meant to contain was never noticed as it's THAT well contained deep within its near-infinite depths.

It wasn't long before the first gods descended to the new world.

But our focus isn't on the new world, Gekai, right now. 

In another distant, more peaceful world, a young man and his pregnant wife were shopping before a robber began his raid and even took his wife hostage, so he saved her while also killing the robber, though he killed him too.

Awaiting judgment from the god of his world, he came to him and declared him deserving of Hell. Why? Just because he killed the robber.

But the villain, Madane, wasn't letting up and Dynamite was running out of stamina. An unknown blast was mere inches away from shooting Dynamite and, the number one pro hero, Deku, had jumped and pushed him out of the way just in time. Instead of it hitting Bakugo, it hit Midoriya. Right in the heart.. Will Deku fall from his number 1 throne, or will someone help him just in time?... And if he survives how will this villain be defeated? Wars are not something out of the ordinary, are they? We hear about them every day. But for the people that live them, it is more than a punishment from the gods. It is a never-ending agony which the victims have to fight in order to survive. They fight to honour the fallen ones, to protect what they cherish the most, to make their stories heard. They fight for their glory which was lost alongside the people they once knew. They fight for a better future, one without conflicts, one with the freedom they wish to have. But even so, they try to live simple lives in the end, no matter what happens in the meantime. "But can you truly call it living if you cannot sense your freedom, if you cannot wander the streets of your own city without the fear of one day being discovered and killed because of the way you are born? Because of your gift from the gods? Maybe... But it is for us to see what future planned for its people." The second part of the story "Glory in War" focuses on learning the history of a convicted race which hides underground from a city ruled by a twisted man, unable to see the light of day, nor to feel this concept of "freedom" they've built. After a few problems encountered by these beings in the first part, they decide to take a small rest from all the matters they have to face every day. Yet even so, they cannot help but remember their past and everything that has happened throughout their journey. And it won't take long before the past will catch up on them and haunt them all over again.
