Im getting nervous again. Luke notices from the other side of the stage, and its now time for him to ask me to dance. My breathing increases rapidly. My hands trembling slightly. As he makes his way over, each step seems like slow motion. With his back turned towards the audience, he mouths, 'You and me.' I close my eyes for a second, repeating what he told me. Me and him. Me and him. Luke and Avalon.
I can feel him in front of me, even before I open my eyes to look into his deep blue seas.
Butterflies erupt in my belly as his lips move against mine. One hand roams my back while the other holds my head in place. His tongue flicks across my bottom lip making me shudder. I open my mouth up for him as our tongue fight for dominance. By now the curtains have probably closed again and there might be people watching but I don't care. I'm on my tiptoes, my arms linked around his neck, keeping him close. Coming up for air, he rests his forehead on mine. I open my eyes, breathing unevenly, and stare at his sparkling blue eyes, centimeters from mine. Our breaths intermingle, and his minty puffs fan across my face. I grin goofily and he does too. I never want this moment to end.
