Mistakes were not something foreign to Kai. It was part of being a thief, it was part of being human. He had a million mistakes littering the path of his life, some small, some big, and some middling. Some he regretted and others led to the bettering of his skill.

Neal Caffrey had undoubtedly been a mistake, but the question was whether Kai regretted him or not.

The things they had accomplished together and the companionship had all been incredible and should have very clearly placed that mistake in the "worth it" pile. But the agony of their parting was so great that for all the riches and joy that had come of their time together, Kai often wished they had never met.

Now, Kai has told himself he's moved on. He's got his eye on bigger and better things than dwelling on Neal Caffrey. But for some reason that doesn't still the twitch in his fingers when he learns that a certain drawing has just arrived in New York.
