Ese's been called many things: a retard, a street rat, a slut; the devil reincarnation of her whore of a mother. To top all that is an invalid mother, a gullible older half sister, and her childhood best friend who may or may not secretly be in love with her.

When a door of opportunity opens, Ese finds herself in a life she could only ever dream of, but she doesn't know if skinny dipping in the school pool with her estranged sister's murderer or having a hot make out session in the basement of her dead sister's boyfriend is the right thing to do.

Daniel is a child progeny, however aloof and dispassionate. Rumours attest he's a sort of weird genius psychopath and the kids avoid him because of this, even the teachers know to keep their distance. Daniel simply doesn't care, that is until a new student shows up and starts to stir up trouble in his near perfect world.

Yet, for the first time in his life he has someone he wishes to protect, but the problem is he's on her list of murder suspects.
