"And you're not?" The king's son replied just as dryly.
Calla Illyrose, a past serial killer, assigned as Kaien Kahler's bodyguard as a way to pay off her endless debts, was unpleased with her task and so-called punishment. Being the king's youngest son, who could not inherit the throne, Kaien Kahler did not understand mostly why he was being mainly targeted by an assassination group. Perhaps, his playboy title? His money? His influence? His bloodline? Nevertheless, Kaien was forced to have a personal bodyguard and healer for his own protection. He'd come across many bodyguards, all killed in their days of working with him. Until he met Calla. Sure, he could still best her in combat but she specialized especially in killing. The only man to have bested Calla, she would not forget this. Oh, well, whatever. Kaien really could not care less about his life. He'd really just rather have his lazy days back. A shame, because Elisana Aimstone (his healer) and Calla would not let that happen anytime soon.

With my heels I was 5 feet 10 inches. His intense gaze on me made my chest warm. "You are part of it." The devil said in low voice as he stood next to me. I couldn't move or think for a few moments. His hot breath fell on my neck and it sent a shiver down my spine and make my breath hitch. Stefan Black entered my life. And my life fell into darkness. I am Diana Martin or was. Now, I am Diana Black. I belong to Stefan Black. He owns me. I am leverage, a useless asset to him. If makes my life hard I will make his hell.
