In the land of Aalto, the world is divided into four nations, each with its ruling monarchs being chosen of power given to whom the element deems worthy. It is the nation's job to find the monarchs, and teach them, and the gifted children of the world of Aalto to use their elements; earth, air, fire, and water.

Aleaha is a teenage girl who has lived under the radar as the adoptive daughter of restaurant owners. Her misfortune kept her from being tested for her elemental potential. Discovered as the lost princess of the Water Nation, she is thrown into the prestigious Iokua Academy to train to become the monarch. On top of this, she is engaged to the Prince of the Fire Nation and tasked to master her element, along with everything else. Easy right? Not so much.
