Sophia moves back to her hometown after almost a decade away, not knowing what to expect. She knows she will be reunited with her childhood best friends and stepbrother, but their changes almost make them unrecognisable.

Nevertheless, the friendships soon flourish again. But learning to get along with your stepbrother, who you never really knew, is a different thing and a battle for Sophia.

This story follows her and her friends - eight misfits in their early 20s trying to find their way in life.

During the day, they struggle with their unfinished academics together with their unconventional form teacher - a man they love for his understanding and guidance but hate for his strict discipline.

After school, their romantic lives await, which they all express differently. In Sophia's case, it means being a brat until she's put back in her place, often being across his lap, and ultimately, having to surrender to his caring dominance.

Her best friend, Oliver, aka the life of the party, is occupied daydreaming about his future wedding with his boyfriend Wesley.

Meanwhile, their sparky girlfriend, Bella, spends her nights reading and writing spicy fanfic but would never touch a boy because of how silly they are.
