Life is death. It has been ever since I can remember. It is the one thing it has ever taught me.

Anyone can be killed. No exceptions.

And with a world full of monsters as it is, I have taken it upon myself to be their hunter. After all, it takes one beast to recognize another.

The plan, the hunt and the kill are the only things that makes me feel something, that make my heart race. It reminds me that even as a wolf amongst the sheep, I am still human. And yet, I have come unscathed every single time.

But because I am the judge, the jury and the executioner, I will keep onward with my burden. With my demons. It will be that way  until I die.

I had been running for what felt like hours. My legs were burning, and I knew my body was about to give out. The tears that had long since dried still clung to my face. I was covered in bruises and cuts from tearing through the forest. Everything hurt-not just my body, but my heart as well. Just hours ago, I was at a motel with my mom, arguing about dinner, and now she was gone. She killed herself to protect me. That's what I keep telling myself, but deep down, I know it's not true.
