Deep in the dusky gaseous clouds of the Horsehead Nebula, there exists a lone planet known as Arcadia, home to a peculiar race of people called demons. Residing in secrecy for their entire existence, the many classes of demons are in constant conflict with each other, creating a noxious world gripped by discord. 

In the midst of this choleric realm, the shadow demon Diamora is the representative of the Wrath Ring, a desert wasteland plagued by poverty. Seeking a way to uplift their impoverished people, Diamora participates in the Sabbath, a death game that pits the representatives of Arcadia's rings against each other, where only one may survive to preside as Arcadia's supreme ruler. 

But matters grow ever more complicated after Diamora encounters Zain, the very first vampire engineered from the genetic code of the demons. Diamora is convinced that Zain is much more than what he seems, and the two join forces to win the Sabbath and discover the purpose behind Zain's odd existence.
