A Girl Named Elinor

Elinor is a what you would think to be a regular, rich colonist girl. She minds her manners, sews, and can do any type of house chore you ask her to. Because of her families wealth, you would think she would be a Loyalist, but in reality, she is a Patriot. During the American Revolution, Elinor must decide if she wants to proudly support her fight for freedom on the battle field, or stay low and watch everything happening.

Yes, nothing is impossible, Elinor thinks while she walks arm in arm with Angelica. Nothing is impossible, not even a bunch of colonists standing up to a country. Not untrained men taking on the best army in the world. Not even a peasant marrying a prince. The patriots might actually have a chance if we go to war, Elinor thinks. Maybe things aren't so hopeless after all.
