All Lynn Yun cared about was getting into a good college. After her sister's acceptance to Princeton, Lynn had big shoes to fill. And she is willing to do anything to fill them.

That is why when a guidance councillor comes in during homeroom and offers the opportunity to anyone who would like it for free community service hours, she gladly accepts.

Her task: sit and have lunch with the new exchange students to try to get them comfortable with their new school.

And that's how she meets Zayn Malik, a quiet, thin, and rather rugged looking lad from some place she's never heard of. He doesn't say much, but she notices he loves to draw.
