Nightkit's mother, brother and sister are killed by a RiverClan invasion while her only remaining sister is kidnapped. Poppykit, the happy go lucky calico kitten, is carefree and innocent. Flamekit, after trying to cure her sick brother, is shunted back in her warrior course. Swiftlake fears for the future of her Clan, knowing that if RiverClan has a shred of hope left, it fell on her and her alone. No matter how safe Roselight is, no matter how secure WindClan is, Roselight can't stop looking over her shoulder, fearing she'd see those cold, empty, yellow eyes once again.
