Specious-misleading in appearance. In a city in Maryland, an 18 year old girl Veronica Moretti, is missing from last year. Mia Ferrari is her best friend who hopes her friend is somewhere better. She continues on with her life, but an old best friend of Mia begins stalking her. Jada Jackson used to be best friends with Mia since preschool til Veronica came along and pushed Jada away after middle school.  Ever since Veronica went missing, Jada thinks that Mia has been acting strange. Yes, they haven't been close friends for years, but they still kept in touch when they were by themselves.
