This writing follows the story of Thena Nyxon and Rune Kerres.
Thena Nyxon is on a mission to kill King Malyen, her fury stronger than you might think. She is trying to seduce the king at the royal ball that takes place every fall, to celebrate the coming of winter. Once, she seduces him, she takes him somewhere no one will see and will slit his throat. Killing him would make her happy. She trains for months, her strength building up. The king has done many treasons including bombing Thena's village for power and land. Thena has gone through a lot because of this so called king. She knows what she's doing until the night of the assassination, she meets her long lost childhood best-friend, Rune Kerres. Rune Kerres is also on a mission to kill King Malyen. Thena is reminded of how Rune betrayed her during her childhood, and is blinded by rage. She fought while her thoughts in her mind were scattered. Rune is suprised to see Thena at the royal ball and knows that he must fight her. They fight till they couldn't anymore. Thena realizes that her fighting with Rune ended up her getting caught by the kings guards and now she must find a way out, as does Rune. They need to either work together to get out of the palace and try to reveal the kings treasons on a difficult journey or they must stay in the palace till their execution. Rune doesn't know if he trusts Thena and neither does she. Will they trust each other? Or will they kill each other?
