The Earth has changed. Radiation and pollution had plagued mankind and drove over 70% of animal species to extinction. The remainder of the animals that had serviced mutated in order to survive and mankind stole that genetic structure to build a defines for themselves. The humans that were injected were known as 'Hybrids'. In time, those who were 'pure' found a way to repress radiation and clean up pollution. The Hybrids became scorned and hated because of their abilities. A rebel group rose to protect and win rights for Hybrids. And there is where a hero is born.

The company that owned it, Vault-Tec, was a government-funded organisation that worked to find ways to preserve human life in the case of global disaster: environmental, nuclear, or otherwise. Due to Y/N's service history, he was allowed into the vault during the nuclear warhead exchange between America and China, and that's where our story starts. Thousands of years ago, humans died out. Decades later, the nuclear radiation in certain areas was low enough to not kill the animals, but high enough to change them. They transformed into something better than animals and humans. They became what humans called "furries", no suit required. Eventually, the new, evolved animals built a society not too different from what the humans had. Something was different though. They had a very low probability of evolving again. 1 in 10 million low. These animals were quite rare, and as the centuries passed, they became known as "The Evolved". This is the story about how one Evolved changes everything.

Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. They came from nowhere. Just suddenly appeared in 1990 and made a few cities. Anthros is what they call themselves. They were taller than most humans. cutting themselves off from humans. Humans have tried talking to them but they never responded. Until 2023, they responded. They wanted a way to slowly engage their species with humans. Humans decided to use a transfer method. 1 human for each of the anthro city to the school of that city. They didn't allow any anthros to go to human society yet. There were 3 cities. Garrison, Relondrit, and Muldrow. Landon got sent to Muldrow. Landon is a 16-year-old sophomore. He's 6.5 caucasian with dark brown hair put into a mullet and dark green eyes. But he ain't no jock, he's a nerd, he doesn't have muscle because he's skinny. Like, see ribs skinny. He was quiet, always doing work and listening to music. (heavy metal and 2000s alternative) When the transfer system was close to the end of freshmen year had started. He immediately signed up. And since he was the first and had all A's except for 1 B (it's criminology) He got into it. So over summer break, he was taught by an anthro (Labrador) some of their traditions. The only difference between them and humans is that they 2 things. Every year for a month, the females get a heat cycle. (It's not the typical one. They can control it. It just makes them turn on more and easier. That's it. No franticly wanting sex.) they also have "Species Day". It's where multiple of the same group meet at various locations. Other than those 2 a few word changes. It's all the same between the 2 sides. Just before the sophomore year started. He was moved into the city. They gave him a basic apartment right by the school.
