We've all heard the quote/saying "Forgetting someone is like remembering someone you've never met". Could you just imagine someone forgetting you completely? All your memories together, thoughts, feelings, you erased completely from their memory.. Everything gone; How about someone you love? For most of us, this isn't a reality, only a nightmare disguised as a dream. But for Macey Bittner, this nightmare becomes a reality. Brandon and Macey have been friends for what seems like forever. They've been in each other's lives since Pre-K. When senior year finally arrives, it's completely unbelievable for them, it's like the wait is finally over; this would be their year. Would it? When Macey gets the devastating news about her beloved boyfriend being in a fatal car accident, her mind goes blank. The only thought that crosses her mind is, 'Is Brandon okay...?' She soon learns that her boyfriend is in a coma and is diagnosed with amnesia.

Her best friend is turning against her, and she's starting to recieve horrible nightmares that are connected with her life and the death of her dad. She starts believing that her nightmares give out answers to her dad's death and her future, and she starts to distrust people. And although this seems nearly impossible, and becomes a long journey, Heather is challenged by her school shrink to change and show her mom and little sister that she can turn into her old self again, that is, if she's willing to cooperate with getting help to change, in the blink of an eye.
