Like any other relationship, we build a friendship on love, honesty, loyalty, and willingness to communicate openly. If any of these ingredients is missing, it will crumble like a house of cards. Unfortunately, people don't always understand this. We hope and expect too much from our friends, believing they should read our minds, give us the benefit of the doubt, and accept us as we are. Yet, I feel that like any other relationship, friends must also grow together, and if you can't do that then what's the point of it, anyway?
